Robert Pollack - Keyboards, vocals
There's only ONE Robert Pollack... A veritlble 'toolbox' when it comes to stage, studio.... technology and general 'aural acumen'
Rob's introduction into 'Kootworthiness' is found cemented firmly in his friendship of 20+ years with Glenn Taylor... Mr. 'T' brought Mr. 'P' on board as a 'guest-Koot' in mid '02 and it can be said that the band's presentation takes on it's own 'flavor' with Robbie in the mix...
A well rounded keyboardist, superb, soulful vocalist and 'brainiac' when it comes to studio & MIDI technology, Robert and Glenn have been cohorts on literally hundreds of studio endeavors over the last 2 decades, including jingles, radio voiceovers and corporate sales & training projects. Rob's 'credits' list reads like a 'who's-who, that's-that' of well known 'Product-Americana'.... which includes Time Warner, AT&T, Viacom, Lucent, Nickelodeon, Showtime, WABC and MTV to name but a few...
In his own right, Rob is also an established producer as well as partner in his own audio-production facility "Satellite Studios" in New York City.... He's worked on artist projects with the likes of Carl Thomas for Arista/Bad Boy Records, Lathan on Motown/Universal Records and Deena Miller's critically acclaimed work, "3 A Thousand Words 2" on Fore-Reel Records... Prior to these supporting roles, Rob was a senior writer, producer and director for the SONY-affiliated DK Studios in Manhattan...
When he's not fixing or 'hot-rodding' a Macintosh computer... or for that matter, working on his 'studio-tan'... Mr. Pollack gets out to 'gig' at many clubs and private affairs 'about town'... as a solo or an ensemble act... Rob can be seen regularly at New York's Delta Grill... as well as Mimi's in Roslyn, Long Island.... In the past he's also been seen (performing of course!) at Trump Castle, Claridge Casino and Caesar's, all in A.C.... and in 'The City', where there have been a multitude of sightings at Top Of The Sixes, The Doral Park Avenue Hotel, Elaine's and One If By Land, Two If By Sea.... Past private functions have allowed such business and cultural 'giants' as... as Lehman Brothers, Lord and Taylor, Saks 5th Avenue... and The Museum of Modern Art... AS WELL AS... such 'celebs' as The Helmsleys and 'The Donald' (Trump)... to all rub shoulders with Rob...
What a guy!... Whether entertaining the kingpins and queenpins of 'high society'.... or 'rockin' with the Kootz in Kearny'..... (um... we don't have any gigs in Kearny... YET!) ...Rob is one dynamic, dramatic, fanatic... although he's not from Niantic! Don't miss Rob... he's one 'Koot 'wit Klass'!
